The book reminds me a lot of Life of Pi, with the whole concept of the boat and the fish. In Tim Winton’s fiction, chaos waits in the wings, and ordinary people are ambushed by events and emotions beyond their control. I really don’t want to go into too much detail because it’s almost a novella and a children’s book so to go into the plot would really spoil the story. Her nights are a blur of vodka and pointless loitering in cyberspace.
