I fell in love with Risika’s story and character right from the start. I was looking for a prologue, perhaps, or something in between which, like, explains the legend and this new world. The premise is just interesting enough to have me want to see how the second book atdater-rhodes.
Prior to revealing he was alive, Risika believed that Aubrey had killed her brother Alexander, enhancing her hatred for Aubrey. After Risika’s battle with Aubrey he reveals himself to her.

And her past has come back to torment her. Risika has a close bond with the tiger and cares about her deeply. Aubrey has been described as having a knife with him at all times that he had taken from a vampire hunter, the knife has magical qualities in the blade that, if it hits the target properly, can kill a vampire.

Credit for being marginally better than her second novel. The writing is obviously done by a young woman. Den of Shadows 9 books. It gives different points of view of Risika or Rachel from before she was a vampire and forest much she’s changed now. All in all, this way a good story, and you do get into the world but it leaves you wanting more with no way to achieve that goal. She has a long rivalry with her blood-brother, Aubrey. But how do vampires, who are supposeed to live forever, die?

She is atwateer-rhodes to being alone. For example it’s easy to dislike the main antagonist Aubrey.
Very much a old school flavor there in where the villain is not just a simple victory and for me – the more depth and complex – the harder to defeat the villain, which to makes for a much much more enjoyable atwater-rhoeds thrilling story. It takes me only a thought, and I arrive in less than a second. At least, I don’t remember any of that. I feel bad giving this book a low rating atwater-rhoxes I try to be nice to writer’s, as I am one, and in the author’s defense she was extremely young when she wrote this.

So far this book is switching between the present, and Other books in the series. The story shifts back and forth from when she was a human, around the s, to where she is has a vampire.
This was a story I encountered long before the trope of ‘stuffy moralizing vampire falls in love with teenage girl’ nonsense.
Everything is wrapped up with a twist that isn’t explained and didn’t make a lick of sense and, again, the lead character acts oddly and without emotion. It is only around four dollars and I bought the Kiesha’ra bindup all 5 books and I am excited to read those.
