For one, there was an anti-Catholic sentiment that rose up in the last quarter of the book that felt strange. They were to return to Wales and establish a bible college. This is a must-read for those on a path of spiritual growth. Through reading about the life of this incredible man, I learned so much.

In the spirit of the hyperbole, I found I could take away and apply miniscule portions of his devotion and practice, and apply them to my daily life and walk to good effect. It grew faith in me for what God is able to accomplish.

Rees Howells strikes me so much that I wondered and marvelled at the liberty the Holy Spirit had in working with and through him. I’m sure He does.

Rees Howells was an ordinary guy–what we’d call a blue-collar worker–but God used him to do extraordinary things, as he surrendered himself to the Lord’s will. It’s about true empathy, feeling the pain sometimes physically of the one ur called to pray for.

I am convinced that in this instance, Reese was deceived by an afflicting spirit that came on him and told him he was bearing the sickness of another person. I am sure he and his wife will enjoy it.
