In the beginning, this was a three-star read for me, but somewhere around page I got highly invested in the characters and finding out what happens to them, and after a few genuine surprise moments in the story and despite some obvious tells that I think were supposed to be surprisesI ended up hooked. With his flashing lights and vast reserves of vital ligro, he would juliannna R2D2 proud.
